The Minnehaha Café at Mystic Lake Casino Hotel has reopened after a six-month remodel to expand seating capacity and update menu items, according to a news release from the casino.
The café was the casino’s first restaurant when it opened in the 1990s.
Sweet Temptations, a new dessert shop with pastries, custard, gelato, French macarons and more is also open, according to the release.
Minnehaha Café offers American comfort food 24 hours most days. A jumbo pecan caramel roll, blueberry fritter French toast and a bacon, cheddar and jalapeño waffle with chicken will be added to the breakfast menu. Chili fried shrimp and smoked chicken poutine will be added to the lunch and dinner menus.
The café will also offer room service to the hotel rooms.
“Remodeling and enhancing the menu at Minnehaha Café and opening Sweet Temptations bring reimagined food and beverage options to our guests at Mystic Lake,” Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community President and Chief Executive Officer Angela Heikes said in a news release.
